Today is shaping up to be a beautiful day in Bend, Oregon, with a high of 60 degree in January it looks like everyone may be itching to get out. If you have a bit of cabin fever, here are a few things you can do today:
Take a walk: With some many beautiful trails and walking areas in Bend, there is something for everyone. Some of my favorite walking spots are Drake Park, Deschutes River Trail, along the river at Old Mill, and Shevlin Park.
Visit a Park: Have kids with pent up energy let them play at one of the many parks we have in Bend. Whether you are on the east side of town near Juniper Fitness Center or you are on the west side of town near the Deschutes River Trail, there are plenty of parks to visit!
Golf: It may be a great day to hit the 18 hole and go golfing. Many golf courses have winter discounts so you can enjoy the sun for a lower price. Not to mention there are many courses to choose from whether you are an beginner or skilled, golfing can be an excellent way to spend the afternoon.
Hit the mountain: Nothing like spending time at Mt. Bachelor on a sunny day! There are so many fun snow based activities that everyone can enjoy including: skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
