Activities To Do With The Kids This Summer (2)

Summer break is here! Now what to do with those rambunctious kids while the summer looms on. Here are a few events happening in Bend:

Regal Cinemas $1 Movies: Taking place every Tuesday and Thursday, movies start at 10:00 am. Some titles include: Annie, Nut Job, How to Train Your Dragon 2, and much more.

Northwest Crossing Munch & Movies: Grab a lawn chair and enjoy free movies at Compass Park on Friday nights From August 21 – September 11. Titles include Cinderella, Big 6, and many more.

Twilight Cinema: Enjoy free movies at Sharc or at the Village in Sunriver for free movies on Tuesday and Saturday nights in August. Movie titles include Lion King, The Sandlot, Home and much more.

Family Play in the Park: For children of all ages. Join other families and kids to enjoy some of Bends beautiful parks on Thursdays 11:30 am – 12:30 pm 6/23/15 – 8/17/15.

Let’s Picnic!: For children of all ages. Enjoy a family picnic including games, activities and live music taking place Wednesday nights from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at numerous parks in Bend from 7/22 – 8/19

Bend Elks Baseball: Take them out to the ball game on Wednesdays, when kids get in free! Great way to spend a summer evening.

Summer Free Lunches: For all children under 18 years old. Stop by one of the many parks in Bend or La Pine and children under 18 will be provided with a free lunch.

Balloons Over Bend Children Festival: For children of all ages. Enjoy watching the balloons lift over Bend or enjoy carnival activities including a bounce house, face painting, Bubble pools and much more. 7/24 – 7/26. Festival takes place on 7/25/15 from 10 am – 4 pm.

Kids Splash and Dash: For children age 3 – 10 years old. The kids can romp through an obstacle course of pools, tires, slides and moats. Taking place on 7/19, costs vary depending on when registration occurs.

Days of Play: For children ages 4 – 10 years old. Activities include crafts and games at numerous parks throughout Bend starting on 6/22 through 8/14.  Free of cost.

Discover Nature Days: For children ages 5 – 10 years old. Bring the kids to play, learn and interact with natures at numerous parks in Bend from 7/9 – 8/13. Free of cost on Thursdays from 11:00 am – 12:00pm.

Art in the Park: For children ages 5-12 years old. Join the Art Station and local artists to learn about the natural colors, textures and patterns that occur in our environment. Free of cost on Thursday 10:30-11:30 from 7/7 – 8/11 at numerous parks in Bend.

Kids Meadow Marvel: For children age 6 – 12 years old. Kids have the opportunity to explore the Indian Ford Meadow Reserve. Free of cost on 7/10 provided by the Deschutes Land Trust
