Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo 7/30-8/1 It is fair time again! Whether you will be watching the rodeo, riding a roller coaster, playing fair games or listening to concerts the fair is a great time for all. Taking place from 7/29-8/2 at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds.

Joe Nichols in Concert: This country star visits the Deschutes County amphitheater on 8/1. He is knowns for some of his chart topping songs “Tequilla Makes Her Clothes Come Off” and “Gimmie That Girl”

BMC Free Summer Concerts:  Be sure to catch the last free summer concert at the Les Schwab Amphitheater on 8/2 featuring Wildrenss.

Twilight Cinema: Enjoy free movies at either Sharc or in Sunriver Village. Lots of fun for everyone. Titles include:

Sunriver Quilt Show: Wonder through over 100 displayed quilts at the Sunriver Quilt Show on 8/1/15 at the Village at Sunriver.

Turf and Tunes Free Summer Concerts: Grab a lawn chair and enjoy music at the John Gray Amphitheater at Sharc. From 5 pm – 7 pm at night on Sunday nights. Fun for the whole family! Performers include:

Bend Elks Baseball: Enjoy America’s favorite pastime! Numerous games throughout the month of July. Kids get in free on Wednesdays!

Alive After 5: Free live music in the Old Mill District.  Listen to music and grab food, wine, spirits and beer from Worthy Brewing. A great way to end “hump day.” Catch the last concert of the series on 8/5 featuring Leroy Bell and His Only Friends

Munch and Music: Enjoy another free music series at Drake Park. Free music, plenty of food vendors and fun on Thursday nights. Catch the last 2 concerts of the series:

Ghost Tree Invitational: This two day golf tournament features dinner, golf and an auction. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Ronald McDonald House and The Assistance League of Bend. Taking place from on 8/7 – 8/8 at Pronghorn.

Flash Back Cruz: Drake Park will be filled with beautiful class cars (’79 and older) on 8/8-8/9

6th Annual Sunriver Art Festival: Enjoy art and live music at this festival taking place on 8/7 – 8/9 in the Sunriver Village. Kids will have a blast at the Kids Zone which has many arts and crafts for kids of all ages.

Wilco in Concert: Playing at the Les Schwab Amphitheater on 8/8. This Indie Rock Collective features sounds from the 70s, folk and country music. Hits include “I Must Be Hight” and “Misunderstood”

International Fly Fishing Fair:  50th Anniversary Celebration taking place on 8/11 – 8/15. Enjoy numerous demos, meetings, and much more at the River House Convention Center. x

Bend Brewfest: Bend is known for its love of beer. Celebrate the many amazing breweries in our area from 8/13 – 8/ 16 in the Old Mill District.

2015 Peaks Summer Nights: The Athletic Club of Bend hosts their annual Peak Summer Nights Concerts with Brett Dennen playing on 8/14

Shakespeare in the Park: Watch  Portland’s Northwest Classical Theatre Company perform Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors. Taking place on 8/21 –8/22 in Drake Park and 8/23 at Sharc.

Beat Beethoven’s 5th: Support the Central Oregon Symphony on 8/23 by lacing up your running shoes. 5k race and 1 mile family/fun run will start at the COCC track. The goal is to beat Beethoven’s 5th which is 33 minutes long.

Michael Franti & Spearhead: Another awesome concert at the Les Schwab Amphitheater on 8/23. Catch Michael Franit as he once again visits Bend with his positive vibes and great music.

Art in the High Desert: This nationally ranked art show takes place on 8/28 – 8/30 at the Old Mill District. View numerous forms of art including mixed media, painting, metal work and much more.
